Black Sesame Chiffon Cake




The recipe I have from the book of Okashi is based on sesame paste . I saw a jar of sesame paste at organic section but didnt wanna get it just this recipe :P . This recipe comes right as it uses black sesame powder instead of black sesame paste.

Verdict : The cake does taste like black sesame, it is equally moist  and not too dry

[A]
3 egg yolk
30g sugar

[B]
40g oil
60g water
75 flour
56g black sesame powder
1tsp baking powder

[C]
4 egg whites
40g sugar

Method
1. Beat egg yolk with sugar untilpale n light in colour
2. Add in [B]
3. Whisk the egg white until foamy. Gradually add in sugar in 3 part. Continue whisk until stiff peak
4. Fold in meringue into egg yolk batter with spatula
5.Bake at preheaten oven 170C for 30 min
