烧肉 ~Roast Pork

ROAST PORK
1kg pork belly (3 layer)

Marinade(skin)
1/2 Tbs salt

Marinade (meat)
1/2 Tbs Salt
1/2 Tbs Sugar
1/2 Tbs white pepper
1/2 Tbs 5 spice powder
1 cube nam yue

Marinade pork belly n refrigerate (uncovered) overnight

Roasting
2 Tbs white vinegar

Method
  1. Oven setting (top & bottom) 200 C ~ 20min
  2. Remove pork belly from oven , brush skin with vinegar, back to oven continue roasting
  3. Change oven setting to (top only) 220 C ~30 min or until skin turn brown evenly
  4. Once done, remove pork belly from oven. Let it cool for 15min before chopping into pieces.
Cutting
When chopping the meat, skin face down. It is easier this way.

Looks great! I could't get those bubbles on the skin but I'm glad they turned out crispy. I'm definitely going to use nam yue the next time I make this,
